Have you ever thought about doing a session in your home? Not many people have, but nowadays it’s become a big part of lifestyle photography. I hadn’t shot a home session in about 2 years, so I was really excited when one of my Baby Plan Members wanted to do a home session for her baby girls 9 month session. Usually the first vision that pops in my clients head when I mention doing pictures in their home is that they want have the props seen in my pictures, (I still bring props for back up, but you wouldn’t believe the props you already have in your home and just don’t know it). Some will say their house isn’t big enough or decorated like Home & Design Magazine, along with many other worries. ”Home Sessions” is not about all that. It’s about capturing images in the comfort of your home where everyone is relaxed and can really be themselves. Not to mention everything in your image will have a sentimental value to it, since everything we use in the pictures and what’s in the background is be yours. For example this session was held in their home; I got to capture little Miss Mattie in her beautiful bedroom playing with her favorite toys, sitting in her favorite chair, in her back yard and so much more. When Mattie gets older and looks back at these pictures her mom will be able to tell her stories about her favorite toys and the home she grew up in all while looking at these pictures. What really touched me was when her mother seen Mattie’s gallery she emailed me crying! Crying tears of joy of course, lol! I was even crying! She reminded me how important “home sessions” really are. I have photographed Mattie since she was a newborn and she holds a special place in my heart. Look at her little face, how could she not! That’s what I love about my Baby Plan Members. I grow a special bond with each one of them and it means the world to me that I get to photograph this special time in their life. A time that goes so fast, trust me! In the blink of an eye your baby will be grown and all you’ll have left is pictures and memories….but you have to get the pictures, even if it’s you just taking snap shots! The older we get memories start to fade, but when you look at pictures it brings you back to that time and all those memories start coming back to you. I know it’s so easy to put off booing a session and say we’ll do it this summer or when the leaves turn colors and by then you have forgot (unless you book your session in advance and I will remind you, lol) Your baby’s first year is just as important as their wedding day! You can’t get it back! So if your already on my Baby Plan or thinking about joining, think about doing one of your sessions in your home. Easter / Spring Mini Session / Knoxville Child Photographer

I’m so excited about this years Easter/Spring Mini Sessions! This year we are having sessions on Friday, March 23rd and Saturday, March 24th. If one of these dates want work for you, add an additional $50.00 to the package and we can schedule a day for you that fits your schedule! There will only be a limited number of sessions this year. I’m doing that this year so it will give my clients a longer session, time for children to relax and not be rushed and for my clients to have more pictures in their package! Also there will only be one package! A package with over a $200.00 savings if you was to book a regular session!!! One thing I love about doing Mini Sessions for my clients is because it’s a great an inexpensive way to update your child’s portraits and maybe get a few family shots! This years theme is “A Vintage Easter” by AJP. 30 to 45 minutes of your little cuties in their Easter attire, favorite Spring outfit or you can pick from one of my outfits for little girls under the age of 3 that I use for styled sessions. The look is a styled vintage set-up. Think lace, fabric flowers, fabric eggs, quilts, lots of antique props, such as our vintage couch and much more! I’m working on a little “live” surprise, such as a bunny or chicks! Keep your fingers crossed for me! I really want that more than anything!

All Sessions will be held at a location down from my home studio. For my baby clients that can not sit up on their own yet, my client will have the option for a studio mini session. If the weather for that date doesn’t permit for an outdoor shoot all sessions will be moved to the studio or clients will have the option to reschedule so they can keep the outdoor session.

Below is the package I’m offering. Like I said I will only be taking a limited number of Easter/Spring Mini Sessions and it’s first come first served. As soon as you get your invoice I would get it paid so your sure to have the date/time that you want and that you will have a spot! As soon as it’s paid your spot will be booked. This package does cover session fee, immediate family only, one outfit change and a online gallery to proof your images and share with family and friends. Once you look over everything and decide if this works for you, I will send you an invoice to make payment. Once your session has been booked I like to work with my clients and know what their child will be wearing so I can have your set up and details ready for you. Feel free to bring any personal items with you that you may want to incorporate in your session. For example, your child’s Easter basket, accessories like scarves, hair bows, beanie hats, ties for boys; basically anything fun to add to an outfit and give it a different look. Maternity Photographers in Knoxville TN / A Glowing Mommy To Be!

When this mommy to be stepped out of her car I was overwhelmed by her beauty and so excited to have her be an exclusive Baby Plan Member! Can you believe she is 36 weeks? We had so much fun and she did so well even though it was freezing outside! She didn’t complain not one time! This momma knew what type of pictures she wanted and knew what it was going to take to get them….a little suffering from the cold, but in the end when she seen her gallery and loved her pictures it was all worth it! Thanks you Kaitlin for letting me do my thing and I look forward to meeting baby Layton!

It’s that time of year for Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions! Sessions will be held in the studio and I have different themes for any ages that fit boys or girls! Each package comes with digital files, custom Valentine’s Day cards for children to hand out at school! Let your child be the center of attention in class by handing out Valentine’s Day cards with their image on the cards with a sucker attached to it (I found some really cool DIY ideas for this). Below are a few ideas for What To Wear, but I have some new petti rompers and petti skirts for little girls that will be available. Boys I think look great in denim and a cute t-shirt or no shirt with a tattoo (I can add it in photoshop) or a cute v-day tie or bow tie! Mr. Aaron’s 1st Year / Knoxville Baby’s First Year Photographer

I have had the pleasure of photographing this handsome little guy since July of 2010! It’s amazing looking back and seeing this little newborn baby boy grow into a little handsome man that is walking and talking. There is nothing in this world more precious than that! That’s what I love about my Baby Plan Members. Getting to watch my clients babies grow over the first year, having the privilege to be chosen as their photographer to capture their most important milestones for the family; makes me feel so happy that words can’t explain it. Not to mention the friendships I have made with my clients that will last a lifetime. I hope to one day be able to capture little Aaron’s Senior Pictures! How amazing would that be?!?!

Ashley (Aaron’s mommy), thank you so much for choosing me to capture Aaron’s first year! You even came to every mini session I had and I appreciate all your support more than you know! Your an awesome momma and you have a beautiful family! I look forward to seeing you all again in the future!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and had a Happy New Year’s Eve! This year was a ~~BIG~~ HUGE change for my family and I. I want to thank all my clients for all the emails, cards, flowers and phone calls I received. You all mean so much to me and it’s nice to know that there are people who care and understand. I’m a private person when it comes to my personal life, but if this has taught me anything there are people out there willing to help you; you just have to ask for it and I am learning to do that. One of my clients sent me this scripture and I read it everyday. ”Isaiah 41:10 says fear not for I am with you. Be not dismayed; for I am your God. I will strengthen you; yea, i will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.” I really needed to hear this at that time and every since then I read it everyday to remind myself that God is here and that I am very blessed because there are people all over this world would love to be in my shoes.

So what’s going to happen for 2012? Bigger and Better is my motto! I will NOT let this get me down! Photography is my passion and I have always said it’s “MINE”. Meaning something that I create and when I look at I think “Wow I did that all on my own!” I never want that feeling to go away. I will be only taking a certain number of Baby Plan Clients and regular portraits sessions (for example, Senior, family, children, etc) each month and this time I WILL stick to it, lol. This way I can balance my work, family life, and personal life. I will be able to put the time into my clients that need to be and be able to do the things as far as planning the sessions that reflect my style and what I want to represent AJP. There will be changes in the next month and I will announce them soon, but it will be all for the good! Well I can’t leave without blogging a few pictures! So enjoy and I look forward to seeing my old clients this year and many new clients!!!

2011 Christmas Mini Session / Portrait Session Sneak Peak

OK my trusty clients and blog followers listen up because we don’t have much time!!!! This Saturday, November 19th is the last day to book your Christmas Mini Session at Bakers Creek Tree Farm. If you have ever been to the AJP Studio, it’s about 11 minutes away so it’s not that way and trust me it’s well worth it. The times I have available are 2:00PM, 2:30PM and 3:00PM. The Mini Sessions are starting at 1:00PM, but I will make an exception to add more spots before 1:00PM, if there is enough people to book.

Clients who are wanting to take advantage of the discounted Christmas Portrait Session, meaning a regular session, will have to book their date before Thanksgiving Day if they are wanting the Bakers Creek Farm location. After Thanksgiving Day Bakers Creek Tree Farm opens up for business and we will not be able to shoot there. Other than that we have the location any day and anytime we want, we have the studio and also another location from the past!!!

Below are some pictures from a recent Christmas Family Portrait Session I did there. I wish I had time to share more because this location was perfect! The whole place is just Christmas colors galore! I fell in love when I drove up! Especially after finding their building with a giant Christmas tree painted on it. I didn’t use all my props and special ideas in this sessions since I have to save some in my back pocket for this Saturday! OK, I will stop rambling and let you check out the images since lots of people have been wanting to see them.
