Well it's that time of year again!! Sheep shearing... we got this done a couple of weeks ago and now we've hit peak lambing season! I'll be posting some cute little lamb photos on here soon so keep your eyes open and subscribe to my blog if you want to see cute baby animals! It is spring you know so we'll have lots of baby's coming up on the blog soon!
Waiting in line for their turn! Above is my husband shearing, below is my Brother in law Nathan... I thought about shearing a Ewe this year.... but that thought didn't last long!! I decided to stick to taking photos and packing the wool for them!
Shearing is such a back breaker! All sheared and ready to lamb!
Here's our wool packer that packs the wool into the bags... this was my job when I was down helping. But I had to get some photos of the packer so you could all see how the wool gets packed in the bags.
Watching and waiting!
The clippers tend to get a little gummed up after a few Ewe's and needs to be cleaned or the combs changed.
Keeping everything swept, cleaned and oiled as much as possible! : )
